So what do you want, an air filter or an induction kit? lol

saxtreme 7th April 2010 22:02

as i said i have no idea whats waht with these two so im guessing u cant have both lmao

Micky_Westy 7th April 2010 22:03

You can't have both lol

Open Air filter = Noise

Induction Kit = Performance

For an 1.0L you would be safer off with an open air filter tbh.

foxon 7th April 2010 22:04

an induction kit is your best bet i would go with this one

You will see next to no increase in performance with an induction kit on a 1.0L

For the price you would be safer off settling with a cheap air filter.

foxon 7th April 2010 22:08

in my opinion you might aswell get one from argos, it will make a difference to the noise

nath89 7th April 2010 22:10

For a 1.0 I would just put a cheap universal on there.
For example;

or

actually save your cash i have a furio 1.4 and bought a k&n 57-i and felt no difference beetween them my car used to do 50 mile to a fiver now its down to 35 mile and i dont drive like a d*ck.

smithy_19 8th April 2010 02:05

i agree ^^^

saxtreme 8th April 2010 10:02

ill just buy a air filter then
what could i do to the engine to neaten it up a little then
and i will eventually be putting a strut brace on

well one thing is to just go all out and clean the bay up thats the best place to start then paint the rocker cover and with the air filter and strut brace it would look good enough dont waste too much money on the 1.1 engine tho, when i had my first car 1.3 fiesta i spent a bit fitting zetec s bumpers/alloys lowering springs but i dont think i ever even cleaned my engine bay definitely didnt buy anything to make it look better just didnt see the point, your first car should look nice without spending shit loads of money on "performance bits" that wont do anything

Lewis 8th April 2010 11:11

I cleaned my engine bay with WD-40, works a treat. Then i put an ECU cover on to neaten it up a little as mine is a mk2. Then if you want to take it furthur, you can paint the rocker cover, add a strut brace and polish up metal components.

MiDnighTcLuB 8th April 2010 14:16

i just got a cheap BIG air filter off ebay for like £10 then just put a decent cold air feed on it , works a treat and only cost like 17 quid

No it won't fit your 1.0, that is for 1.4/1.6 saxo engines, your throttle body is virtical so it won't fit.
