metallic tapping sound
 

My saxo makes a wierd tapping sound from the engine bay area only when its warmed up and doesnt do it when its cold.
The sound is very feint so cannot be heard from the outside, its only when you get inside it becomes obvious as the sound travels through the car.

Could it be my valve clearance needs adjusting?

Yes or its pinking.
