What mods could i make in 1.4i 8v engine to increase power?
personally i would stick induction kit and zorst on it then save the cash an do a vtr/vts engine conversion
nah...when someone buys a 1.4 furio....it is because it is cheap to run and cheap to insure....sticking a vtr/vts lump in there is barmy....suddenly it is not cheap to run and it is not cheap to insure...especially with a conversion...then you have all of the conversion problems...such as the issues with the gear box...in that they don't last very long unless you uprate it to a vtr/vts gear box.....also the lambda tends to go a lot quicker if you have switched the engine out...this is not proven but it was the first thing to go on my mate's motor when he had his engine conversion.
In answer to the original question....sell it and buy a vtr/vts......they are really cheap nowadays....you can pick up a cheap saxo vtr for 3500. |
gmc do a supercharger kit for the 1.4!!! <img src= "smileys/grin.gif">
Turbo it <img src= "smileys/silly.gif">
that would probably be the best idea...your insurance will sting you for it though...
no issues with gear box problems though im sure Matts super charged vts with 207bhp at the wheels had a 1.1 box in it for a while or possibly still has
i may be wrong but the gear boxes are made from the same shit just ratios are different |
