Saxo's that fix them selfs
 

Has anyone else heard of this saying?

i have so many times now its unreal and i have witness it alot since owning a saxo.

first my central locking stopped working, then it randomly fixed it self aweek later.

rear drivers lights stopped working once then they randomly started again.

Had a knocking noice once and carried on driving it for a few weeks it fixed it self lol

i think saxo's have a fear of the hammer :geek: as soon as they see the hammer pull from your tool chest they panic

Yep. My broken Dials fixed themselves just as my VAG mates were berating my choice of car... :y:

I'm pretty sure 'Saxo's that break themselves' is a much more common affliction lol :)

It happens so often though that everyday that I get in mine and its still driveable I say a silent prayer of thanks.

my speedo lights stopped working and after a few weeks of starting her up every day they flicked on ha ha

My clutch felt very weird for a couple of days, didnt do anything, now its better than before.

That's not a good thing.. that just means they're built dodgy and unreliable as fuck!

my window wasnt working so took the switch out to save me trying to put it down, so at FCS with heaters on full blast to stop the car overheating on the lap i was DYING of heat, it was so bloody hot with no window, put the switch on the wrong plug a few weeks later and it was working ffs

mine done the same but instead they froze up, speedo, revs, petrol all happend while i was driving back from southend on the M1. luckily i found a lorry to follow through the 50mph zones then as soon as i got back to Mk they started working again lol

OJ - We all know they're a bit shit. I find it quite exciting to go oout to the car each day trying to find out whats broken. :y:

I wouldn't say because the symptoms no longer exist the problem has 'fixed itself'

i.e the reason its not leaking oil anymore is proberly because it's got none in, or the reason your wheel bearings no longer knock is because there proberly turned to dust.

My Saxo never fixed itself the worthless bastard. If it did I would have been grateful that it stop going through 3 set's of drive shafts..

Well I can't imagine my saxo or any saxo fixing itself mechanically but the electrics are dodgy as fuck anyway so when they go, a good kick to the offending place and a lot of swearing usually works.

Slightest sign of aggression and it surrenders - typical french. ;)

Keep some Brie in your car..it usually placates the car until the next MOT I've heard..

Rub it in the engine bay? Top Gear stylee?

Noo. That is a common misconception.

Just peel off the wrapper, and replace your air filter for the brie, put it in whole. Lasts for ages!

Also if you have some garlic, it's good to put a bulb or two in the engine oil.
