Machine polishing
Ive got the chance to have a crack at doing it myself my mates got a proper mop and some g3 and g1 i think... thing is... im abit scared firslty will it burn through my paint? and is the g3 stuff okay to use?
Its the polisher that can / will do the damage...is it a rotary or a da??
Honestly ive no idea mate, as its my friends polisher... oh no wait hes just said on msn its a rotary variable speed? :S does that mean anything to you?
Yes....these are the ones that can easily damage your paintwork........be careful.
Ummm how can i avoid this mate any tips? or just make sure its not to fast and dont use to much pressure? and as you say just be careful?
dont use one until you have had good practise on a spare old panel, thats why i havent used mine yet :P
haha my mates doing it on his car first.... if he does a good job he can do mine if not. he shall be going home with the mop in hand :)
lolz good luck to him, i have listened to the peeps on here and because of there advice am holding of on machine polishing for now
Well gotta tackle it sometimes like as long as im careful touch wood itl be okay
use pleanty of water on the mop and on the panel its self, i cant stress this enough!! It will look like someone has gone over your car with a wire brush if you dont. It will take aaaaaaages to do a singel panel properly, iv have a bluepoint rotary and its a animal lol make sure to stay away from the black plastic trim as it will burn it and "smuge" it. practice on a old wing or something first, even if you have to buy one from a scrappy, belive me its worth doing it right first time!
