Phone prices
 

Just phoned o2 as my iPhone 3g contract has run out. They want £200 for a 4g which is balls. So for free I was think to get a 3gs or blackberry. Can't justify paying hundreds for a phone. What Phoenix would you suggest

I have a blackberry bold 9700 on contract and i LOVE it, i've used quite alot of recent phones and none of them compare if im honest!

the samsung galaxy is a good phone

the mrs is due an upgrade next week and the choice is that or the nokia n8

get the 3gs if you cant get a 4 mate, its still a great phone!

Or switch to t mobile and get the iphone 4 for 29quid. £45 a month contract with unlimited texts. Minutes and web

Windows phone 7 is out this week, really slick OS from what I've read and it has the muscle of microsoft behind it linking it to Xbox live and so on, could be a good bet.

I have an iphone 3gs, it has its faults but for the quality and variety of applications for it you cant go wrong.

try tescos mobile, they use the o2 network and were the cheapest for contracts with the iphone 4 when they were released

i got a blackberry curve 9300. contract virgin, £20, 200 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited interent, unlimited blackberry messenger. good phone shame about the apps though.

Just say you're leaving to find a better contract, theyll soon find a way of giving it you for free.

Blackberry torch

I love my iphone 4, great smartphone to start me off.
But Id love to try out the Nokia N8 and the Blackberry Torch.
A guy at work has a BB torch and its such a solid build, no cheap plastics like the samsung galaxy.
The galaxy is a great phone but it feels cheap, which is a real let down as its a great piece of tech.

Imo avoid an iphone 4 because you wont notice a huge difference from your 3G. The fun of a new phone is exploring all the features. Unless you have mates who have a iphone 4 for facetime :y:
Rumours of the white iphone 5 due for release around January as well.
Head down to a phone shop and play with the recent models :y:

I use apps alot on my 3G and use the Internet alot. My mrs has a 3GS and it's slot quicker. I don't like the htc range look a bit poo really. Blackberry phones look smart but will I miss out alot on the apps and Internet use
