constantly on choke
 
my vtr has started running as if its on choke constantly over the past few days and is drinking fuel eny ideas as to what this could be and how to rectify this eny help appreaciated

lots and lots of things could be causing it. More than likely a fault electrical sensor. I would get a diagnostics run on it first and go from there.

Coolant temperature sensor would be my first port of call.

An OBD2 cable and the right software will tell you what temperature the sensor thinks the coolant is. If this seems way off (when the engine is warmed up), it's probably safe to presume the sensor is rogered.
