Car Kangarooing in slow traffic

Right i'll try and put it simply...

Basically when i am in slow moving traffic and in very low revs in say first or second gear and my foot is slightly on the accelerator the car kangaroo's and jerks quite badly at times. Its that bad that in rush hour traffic i often have to give it a bit in first then take it out of gear and roll until the car in front stops and i then repeat the process.

I have a lightened flywheel which i thought was the cause but i heard off a 205 owner that his car did the same. Is it anything to do with the fuelling as i have a predator ecu without wideband so the ignition is mapped but not the fuelling?

Blocked injectors?

My throttle cable is held on by a makeshift clip as the factory one broke?

Or could it be sensors? Tried a new ICV btw but that didn't sort it

May also be worth mentioning that when i start the car and then pull off the car will often do the kangarooing very badly till i back off or put my foot on the clutch i was told by Andy that he has this problem with nearly all cars with predator his included?

Any ideas/help?

Try cleaning/changing the coolant temp sensor

Had this on my vtr I had and changed said sensor after changing others and it solved it

Not to say this will fix your prob but you never know

I will give this a try although i will have to find it first!

Any other suggestions?

maybe miss fuelling? fuel filter or something?

hard_corejoeboy 7th March 2011 19:07

Fuel filter has been changed since this first started happening. Might be an idea to mention it is a 16 conversion.

Hi I'm having exactly the same problem. Did you get it fixed at all?

tomshaw89 12th March 2013 13:26

Bump anyone?

Brettles1986 12th March 2013 13:36

It turned out to be that his lower strut brace was catching the floor due to his B8's being knackered from blitzing scoobies and M3's on the track.

Sounds like map senor to me.

I've already replaced the map sensor, coilpack, green coolant temp sensor, fuel filter and it's had a full service. I have also run redex through a few times to no avail :(
