car audio noob question

Okay i have recently just got a saxo and this is my first post on these forums and i am asking for some advice/help on my audio system that im going to set up :) i have already bought a perfectly good headunit but the ordinary saxo speakers are just not doing it for me so i was thinking of getting these for the back speakers http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro..._id/13594.html and for the front http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro..._id/13597.html and i was wondering if i would need an amp to power these?

the headunit i have is http://bit.ly/hibgIL

i also plan on getting a subwoofer (1000w)

for the speakers your better off getting components, wire the fronts up to an amp.
how much is your budget for the front, rear speakers, amp and sub?

You won't need an amp for the door speakers mate obviously you will for the sub

reem 22nd April 2011 20:59

i wanna spend around 200ISH (already got headunit)

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...ts_id/506.html fronts
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro..._id/13656.html rears
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/8892.html sub & amp

try these, just over £200 :)

reem 22nd April 2011 21:23

i like them but i heard built in amps are not that great :/ and wouldn't i need a amp for those speakers

danny-vts 22nd April 2011 21:25

built in amps are just as good, my mate has one.
if you want decent sound from speakers ideally you would amp the fronts up, but as your on a tight budget, finding a sub and seperate amp and wiring kit is very hard

reem 22nd April 2011 21:30

what abotu something like this http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro..._id/11782.html

danny-vts 22nd April 2011 21:35

that would do but i wouldnt wire the fronts upto it too, cos the power of it all willl be too much for front speakers.

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/9145.html this amp
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro..._id/14611.html this sub

reem 22nd April 2011 22:29

the 1st one you linked looks good....i must have scrolled past that 1 lol

reem 22nd April 2011 22:36

wouldn't the first one have way too much bass? 3000watts?

reem 22nd April 2011 22:38

so that first one (vibe) with the right speakers will i get a decent sound system? and will i be able to hook them up to the amp aswell as the sub?

danny-vts 22nd April 2011 22:40

from your link or mine

reem 22nd April 2011 22:41

my link http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro..._id/10622.html

danny-vts 22nd April 2011 22:44

3000 watts is only peak, you will be running 1400-1500 rms.
either of the sub packages will be capable of having the front speakers wired up too, will have a nice little set up. unlike me, im spending 2k on mine lol
