lowered flat arch
Hi, got my forte lowered a week ago 60mm on apex springs. The front is fine, maybe still a bit high but the rear is rubbing a bit when i hit any kinda bump. I have bout 2 mm clearance between tyre an back bumper/arch. Its on standard shocks an vtr wheels. My 1st car so never did this before. Is this normal?
|
Yea its normal for vtr wheels to rub on a flatty, they will be rubbing on the lip inside the rear arch's
|
yep, remember to peel back the arches so theyre not touching. jack up your car, look under the arch and see if there is any marks from the wheel rubbing, on mine it was on a metal bump which surrounded the rear bumper bracket, i just hammered it in and all was fine lol

If you break the paint remember to give the fresh metal a paint and seal it! I had a mission fitting some 195 wheels with a disc beam on mine.

yea will do.goin slightly off topic here but is it possible to fit a raceland induction kit on the 1.1. i no there will be practically no gains but still want one. had a k an n on it but its stuck at the back taking in cold air. Thanks for the replys!

I'm slamming my car 60mm, good choice ;) I had to roll the arches before even putting springs on because of the wheel width and spacers I used. Gunna take off the alloys and replace with steelies.
Gunna sort out proper tyres after I've slammed :) |
