TU5JP4 NFU help finding sensor
Hi all my sister has a 206 Xsi 1.6 16v has thrown up a fault and i am looking for a camshaft/crankshaft senor according to the fault code reader
any idea guys on where this sensor is please..... do they have a camshaft or a crankshaft sensor or both? cheers |
just a crank sensor, on the forward face of the bellhousing
|
It's on the engine to gearbox join.
If you look at the engine from the passenger front wheel, it sits around the 10 o'clock position on the front of the gearbox/engine join, aiming at the flywheel |
Is this for really rough running, i.e. on 3 cylinders? Lad I know with a C2 VTS had this, fault code was for crank sensor, but the coilpack was at fault. :y:
|
wow thanks for your quick reply guys!
is it easy to remove? does anything have to be removed 1st to get at the part? it is shown here ![]() yes it does run rough a bit when accelarating, not sure if i should change the cheaper part 1st? |
Unclip it, then there's just 1 screw holding it in IIRC. Simple as that.:)
|
Thx, does it show on the picture above?
|
also i forgot to mention the warning on the dash came up with 'anti air polution fault' and in the picture it looks like the one pointing to '1313 2V NR'
|
1313 2V NR looks like the crank sensor to me. :)
|
cool thanks will change the cheaper part crank sensor, ill unplug it 1st see if the cars running changes
|
does anyone know how to test the crank sensor and coilpack? using a mulitmeter?
thanks in advance |
Hi, came across this thread via Google. My C4 1.6 with this engine has just thrown up this fault (P1340 camshaft sensor). I was getting the lumpy 3 cylinder symptoms, so first thought was the coil pack, but now the car wont start at all, so I'm not sure. I'm going to call someone out to test the coil pack for me. Let me know how you get on with your fix and I will do likewise.
Cheers. |
well was speaking with my dad today he has changed the Spark Plugs today and the car runs smooth again
|
Thanks for all you guys for taking the time out to help
