raceland 4-2-1 mani to centre section connecting problem

Hi installed a raceland 8v 4-2-1 mani kit in replacement of my standard all is fine but when trying the connect the downpipe to the centre section the origional bolt/sping/nut doest fit at all. also due to the downpipe having a flange on it its the reverse of standard were the gasket goes into the downpipe to give a flush closed fit hense the bolts spring and nuts holding it together. Now cos their is a cap its been vertually impossible to connect them together and had to improvise to get it to fit. Iv'e been told by a mate that you can get a 4-2-1 connector kit to correct this issue mainely the face the thread is longer meaning everything can go on and then it can still have anough thread for the bolt to compress the spring. If this is possible to get hold of a kit were do you get them and what they called?

also with it being a raceland mani on a standard centre section is it better to have the spring inbetween the two or like on origional and have them on the end of the thread?

Thanks

get the exhaust fitting kit from kam racing, think its about £8 or so.
i got one for my 4-2-1 and the bolts are quite a lot longer and you get a shiny new gasket to join it up with.
had no probs with mine.

As far as i know the original bolts n ting will fit.

The reason kam sells those is he assumes your original bolts and gaskets will have rotted.

Did you check to see how it all fit originally?

the problem we have is the origional downpipe had a carving on the inside for a gasket to sit in it. Meaning with a gasket in and centre section to it, it sits flush and no gap for escaped gas. Also the bolts are then long enough for the spring, washer, cover and bolt to go on as the gap between the centre section and downpipe is minimal. Now on the raceland its the oppersite their is a flange facing out wich means when gasket sits into it and you join your sentre section when the bolts are in the most you can fit on is the spring as the gap between the downpipe and the centre section is bigger meaning not enough thread so need a kit that has longer thread. People must have had same problem when fitting theirs, will upload a pic tomorrow of what i looks like if it makes it easier
