Cheers,i was gutted once i buffed it off and saw the dull patches, thought i had fooked it

you'll need more than SRP to get it back up to shine.
some proper polish for a start. T-cut is really abbrassive compound and needs less abbrasive polishes to get the shine back. SRP is just a filler really. |
Menzerna FTW
|
What do you recomend i buy ?,i am pretty clueless
|
SRP if it has just dulled the paint it will bring it back easy. No need to be using polishes etc..
|
Did you get the scratch out?
You need to get polish that's qute abbrassiveand then getting less and less abbrassive, much like your trying to sand something real smoth. |
mezerna final finish will sort it out for you

SRP has a very slighty cut, ideally it needs machine polishing. If not SRP by hand.

lol wtf, SRP is shit. its basicly a filler and and makes it shiney for a 2 days, the point of polishing is paint correction and SRP will not do that, take it to one of the boys on here that proffesionly detail using a machine polisher and get them to fully detail it for you, they will get rid of everything little tar spot and brake dust using a clay bar, machine polish so that there is no swirls dull spots and scratches. then it will all be protected using layers of selaent and wax. JOB DONE
If you aint got the money to pay one of the guys on here to do it, polish it yourself by hand with one of these http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/zaino/.../prod_462.html ![]() and this http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polish...r/prod_93.html ![]() |
use AutoGlym Paint renovator, then SRP and should get rid of the dullness left by T-Cut. If its worse, try a machine polisher to get it out.
|
SRP is nowhere near as bad as everyone is saying....
as said it's mainly a filler but it does have a little cut, it's probably perfectly fine for what the OP is asking. |

People get far too caught up in the 'in' brand's nowaday's. Menzerna would probably do a better job but SRP is in no way a bad product. |
Super resin polish will do fine, As chip said people get way to caught up in this "detailing" fad. Ive only ever used Auto glym products and only ever will.
|
AutoGlym is perfectly good for the average car wash. Lets be honest, you're never going to win a show and shine award, regardless of what polish you use, unless its machine polished and waxed to within an inch of its life, and have like 12 inches of lacquer!
