Skyline R32 GTR

Yes i know what your thinking "Thats a funny looking Saxo" lol.

Well i thought i would start a build thread of my GTR, had her a few months and thought i'd share my progress with you folks on here.

ATM she has a poorly clutch which has got about as much bite as a Goldfish!

The plans are to fully strip her to the bare shell, have her resprayed Bayside Blue (Present colour), New wheels, stripped out, rollcage, Bigger Turbos, Clutch, Gearbox, Carbon Fibre etc etc..

Well iv'e not got very far as of yet , mainly due to the fact the battery is dead! lol, so i wasn't going to attempt to push her out of the garage to get her back in again.

So far iv'e stripped her of the bonnet, boot lid, spoiler, few bits under the bay, boot carpets and a few other things , will have to wait until i can get her out to remove the interior and some other bits.

Engine wise looking to go the whole hog with this , was going to turbo my old EP3 but decided against it as this came up around the same time so there was only one winner :)

Car will mainly be used on track and on the weekends when i fancy a mad thrash on a Sunday Morning.

Power wise, be happy with anything over 700 Bhp.

More than likely end up buying a ready prepared Forged Engine and sell mine to recoup some money.

Spec list stands at this at present

"M's Factory" Air Filters
300zx AFM's
Blitz Nur Spec Exhaust
Uprated Downpipes
Abbey Motorsport Decat Pipe
Mines VX-Rom (Mapped by Mine's Wave Japan)
HKS Double Core Intercooler (rated up to 1000 bhp)
HKS Hard Pipe Kit
Tomei Inlet Gasket Kit
Grex Oil Cooler, relocated complete with braided pipes
GReddy Iridium Plugs
HKS EVC boost Gague
Abbey Motorsport Uprated Radiator

HKS Hypermax Coilovers with adjustable dampers
Cusco Bracing
Brembo's (r33)

Some quick pics from Today.

Hmmmm where to start :geek:

Before anyone states it hasn't got a steering wheel, its because i took it off to sell it, going to stick the spare one i have on for now.

Will be sticking on a carbon boot/ spoiler when one becomes available, same for the bonnet too.

Looking lighter already lol :P

My cousin just had a full rebuilt on his engine, was running at 880bhp, but bottom end blew, so its been tamed down a bit now, should still see 700ish tho, heres a pic for a lil idea, but its an r33

Cheers fella's , getting a little frustrated with this at the moment as i am really struggling to find time to get anything done, As my partner works in the morning i have to look after our daughter as its my day's off (Sunday ,Monday).

However i am determined to have most of the interior pulled out by tomorrow afternoon, i have also ordered some new silicon hoses to replace some of the standard ones that are ageing a bit now, also to brighten up the engine bay a little.

Currently negotiating a deal on a Seibon Carbon Bootlid with a guy from Canada, waiting for a reply on that so we will see what happens.

Not a lot else to say really at the moment, however i will hopefully get some better pictures up at some point tomorrow when i get 5 minutes.

ttfn.

Right yesterday saw me remove most of the interior, finally got round to spending a couple of hours removing most of what i could with a few niggles along the way, to remove the carpet took most of the time up, i didn't want to just rip it out as i was tempted at times :wall::wall:, i intended to stick it on Ebay and i know it will sell for half decent money too, the aim for me is to recoup a bit of money from bits that i sell on.

Had a right game with the 2 lower rear seatbelt bolts as they just wouldn't come off, even Chuck Norris couldn't RHK these mother fuckers off!:wall:, which also leads me to believe that someone has already attempted it in the past as there is a Strap from a Sabelt Harness still attached.

The next big job is to remove all the bitumen that is applied at the factory, which i have been told can take a fair while, but a job worth doing as it weighs a ton!

Also the wiring is in need of tidying up:fcuk:

Bitumen that will need removing (eventually) lol

Part of the old harness

Taking up space in the garden much to the delight of my missus :P

Some random bits making their way to the powder coaters very soon

Hoping to do a bit more this afternoon if the weather holds out :)

More updates soon, cheers.

Tringaling 30th August 2011 12:05

Looking good bud, LOL at the old harness :)

qrty 30th August 2011 13:57

Surely a 6 point impact socket and a breaker bar would sort them bolts out? :P

Looking good though! :y:

I tried everything, a few folks from gtroc have had the same problem when stripping their 32's, will have another crack at it today.

Lewis 30th August 2011 14:16

Looks like it will be a hell of a mission, keep your goals in sight, will be good to see this finished. I'm a massive fan of the Skyline so do it proud :y:

That colour is nice but only on the 34 imo, more than likely stick to the Bayside Blue with some nice carbon additions.

Contemplating having a pearl over spray? not sure how it would come out.

Rudpud 30th August 2011 19:21
