Aly's China Blue 206 HDI D Turbo - Got Smoke??
Well I sold the 1.0 Saxo and Clio 172.
Wanted something a bit cheaper to run but still have a bit of fun so bought a 206 HDI D Turbo. Done a few things to it: Fit 16" Nimrod Alloy wheels and new tyres. Stage 1 Remap about 125bhp 200lb/ft Torque K&N Panel Filter Removed EGR Valve. Feels about as quick as a well tuned VTR and I still get well over 50mpg. Next is to remove them horrible mud flaps. Hope you like: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for looking :y: |
done the same thing a few months back and sold my fun cars to buy a cheap to run derv, no regrets:cool:

Not sure I'd have sold a 172 and bought this but fair enough looks tidy enough

You got to put the boost pipes over the top of the engine and it's a pain, I might do it but I like the power as it is now. Just going to lower it a bit. Quote:
Clio was costing me too much to run. Quote:

i actually enjoy driving them more on the road too, have the change gear less etc and can overtake with ease, i am also packing 200ft/lb of torque  yeah agree the noise is shit:homme: |
looks tidy, although i cant stand the front GTI seats with the "hoop" headrests!! but thats just my opinion, mine has the solid ones.
www.206info.co.uk is a good forum if you ever need it, im signed up and full of useful info :) |

I had a 206 GTI HDI as a courtesy car when my 206 HDI was in getting its EGR valve replaced. Nice car, felt just as quick as the gti petrol version, nice 180 torques, so am sure your 90 BHP remapped one will be similar. Looks nice colour. |

I didn't know there were two types. I have rear headrests thought ;) I'm on there too, there isn't much info, I use Dieseltorque a lot more. Quote:
Where's the white text lol. Quote:
It's been like 28c today been taking major risks being outside in this weather. Quote:
206 HDI GTI's are 1.6 HDI 16v with 110bhp. If money was no object I'd get one of them, the 16v HDI's are far superior, the Turbo's have like twin stage technology not quite sure how it works. Mines got the old workhouse 2.0 8v HDI. Thanks for comments :) |
nice lil china blue pug, yer flaps need togo, some good bits and bobs for sale on 206info.
|
hate 206's so much, especially when they've been modified!
and to think i was debating between a 1.4 glx or my vts 2.5 years ago! |
|
Looks clean, other than that.... My auntie has one.

im over not having rear headrests now lol no one really gets in the back on my car, unless they lying down... or bent over or banging their heads on the roof... :D BTW would you want to buy some GTI front brakes?? not sure if they bigger than what you already have tbh.. |
is that a question? if so abit on start up now and again, nothing srs.
|
Loved the 172 but this actually looks quite tidy. Imagine what power you could get if you ran a catback, FMIC and another remap :P
