Suppliments

Right, back into full training again and feeling quite laggy.

Using ZMA again as of the last couple of days as i have found things help with my sleeping etc.. and usual protein shakes mixed with L gluatmine.

Now most of my work is endurance based, and ive not really paid much attention to the supp market over the last few years as to whats going on.

As a runner im not trying to suddenly slam on 30KG of mass, instead see if theres anything I can get that will aid in recovery and also delay fatigue/help with my oxygen uptake.

oh and no creatine as i get plenty from my diet.

McGuire86 13th October 2011 18:57

BCAA (branched chain amino acids) Tablets are great in aiding recovery and maintaining muscle mass as they help with protein synthesis.

A must imo wether it's weight training or cardio training

if anything i need to reduce my mass.

Im currently 14.5 stone, ok im 6ft 6, but ive generally had my race weight closer to 12.5.

McGuire86 13th October 2011 19:08

What's your bodyfat % like ?

Ryan 13th October 2011 19:10

Not had it tested recently but know ive got more body fat than when I was racing fully, and then it was around 12-14%.

Im eating late at night due to work but thats another issue outside of training.

had a quick read, yeah quite alot of its how its been.

Hopefully the ZMA im just getting back onto will help, creatine is something i always need to be careful of.

There doesnt seem to be a legal way to get the effects of EPO to aid in oxygen carrying capacity

I didnt tbh, but then its how i carry my weight. Ive bulked in my upper half alot which hasnt helped my weight. I want to carry as little mass as possible, its an endurance event not a 100m sprint.

ZMA dreams rock... I ran out a few months back and only recently bothered buying a new batch.
