Welcome to my progress thread! This is my first car, a posideon blue furio. Cost me £1300 with FSH and 56000 miles. Came pretty much standard, apart from tinted windows, and VTR alloys painted gloss black.

Plans for this year are:

How it was when i got it

Got smoked rear jewel lights and dewipered it. Then got it lowered 35/40mm courtesy of KrisB. I highly recommend him for any mechanical work on your French automobile!

I would love to down the BBS route but just cant afford it, so i did the typical thing...BSX's!

They came with 165 50 15 tyres and due to the wheels being 7J I got some 25mm spacers for the rear, and 15mm spacers for the front (both hubcentric). Even with 25mm they still seem to dissapear into my arches more than i'd like :(

Backbox is a 3inch tip rolled in Ashley. Also got some team heko wind deflectors.
Visited a scrappy to get some mirror caps :) And this is the extent of the progress so far.

(My cars not wonky its just my driveway)

I have a 60mm apex kit which is going on in January. And I'm probably going to lose the tints once its lower, havent decided yet. Comments welcome! :)

And a rolling shot because I really like dragging my blue ball of light along behind me! :)

My boot :)

And some new exhaust mounts which should get my backbox sitting slightly higher up.

I'd lower it more around the 60mm range tbh with those wheels, Still looks really good though

Got an apex 60mm kit in my room as we speak, just got to wait till January so put it on :)

JoshFurioBrookes 20th November 2011 15:54

Anybody good with photoshop fancy taking one of the photos and lowering it to 60/70mm? :)

JoshFurioBrookes 27th November 2011 18:55

Not much of an update, Got some bright white LED's for Sidelights to match my rear numberplate lights. And also took a quick video to show how my exhaust sounds. Its just standard manifold and centre pipe with Ashley 3" Backbox. Sounds abit boring at low revs but I dont think it sounds too bad for the cost of it. :) Comments/Constructive criticism much appreciated!

P.S (crappy iphone quality pictures and video)

Looks nice do something with that grill? mesh it.. Also tint front lights, theres a guide on here :)

JoshFurioBrookes 27th November 2011 19:37

Yeh I've been looking at the guides of how to do both. I'll get both done at some point :)

Update - Got my Apex 60mm kit on...But should of read the description on KamRacing more closely as it only says "up to 60mm"...in reality this kit drops the front of a furio around 45mm :( So now I have 45mm front and 60mm rear :(
Looking at changing the front springs to some Spax 60mm which read as if they deffinetly do drop the front 60mm. Anyway...Heres some pictures! (also gave the car a good wash and wax today)

Opinions and advice welcome :)

It looks good mate, bit high at the front atm but remember the springs and dampers will settle a bit so should drop some more :y:

iFurio 4th December 2011 22:17

Love the alloys, did they cost much? What brand are they?

JoshFurioBrookes 4th December 2011 22:39

Lenso BSX and got them second hand for £280 :)

Thanks, yeh im hoping it will drop more, but after getting the tape measure out it doesnt look like its even going to be down 50mm :( So I'll be buying some 60mm springs asap! :)

Mines a 3" ashley backbox..It sounds abit boring n abit of a drone when in low revs but imo sounds pretty nice higher up in the revs, theres a video of it in this thread abit higher up if you want to hear :) :y:
