ok lets all take the piss

my saxo, most will know it, most will know i recently fitted a spoiler.

i like it, but every bugger is taking the piss.

:y::n: ?

I think it looks good mate, track car though, right?

ed-bradley 5th December 2011 20:15

To be honest, from that last picture it doesn't look all that bad.

Noticed any difference with it on though? If it made a difference, I couldn't give a shit what it looked like :P

Tannerman 5th December 2011 20:16

Not too keen on the spoiler but LOVE the canards....were did you acquire those from?

sexy_gt 5th December 2011 20:17

yeah track car, was fitted to serve a purpose.

last trackday was wet but the car felt very well planted for 5-8deg and wet, pissing wet at times.

i distribute them. got a new batch in end jan ;)

rick_VTR 5th December 2011 20:19

i quite like it tbh.

would look more at home on a wide-arch rally saxo tho.

if it was about an inch and a half lower to the car it would be spot on i recon :y:

Tannerman 5th December 2011 20:19

I will defo have a set off of you.are they carbon or glassfibre?not sure how they would look without that splitter you have tho.I think it sets em off

Tannerman 5th December 2011 20:21

Also have you just fucked the standard grille off n smashed some mesh in there?that looks sweet aswell...and cheap.lol

Benboi89 5th December 2011 20:22

If you like it dude fuck it... Its your motor. Wouldnt have it for road use though :)

Tannerman 5th December 2011 20:23

And the rear bumper......fuckin hell everytime I look at her I see something new.lol.have you just angle grinded a section out.lol

dannygti 5th December 2011 20:25

you now need more power to make use of this help with downforce..

i think a little carbon wing at the back would be more effective. im sure the spoiler will help, but a wing where you can alter the angle should give you better results. like the fact your experimenting anyway stew

Lewis 5th December 2011 20:38

Function over form fair enough, prefer the S1600 spoiler though

Damask 5th December 2011 20:39

i actually like it... but what does a spoiler do on a fwd? surely its just going to make the steering go light and have less grip? (im not attacking your car, im genuinly interested how downforce on the rear helps a saxo)
Canards look bloody amazing though!

Nathan-HxC 5th December 2011 20:44

Not a fan! :n:

But if it does aid performance out on the track, who gives a fuck :y:

stevo67 5th December 2011 20:46

Doesn`t look to bad mate fL1ck what anyone says.

mlawlan69 5th December 2011 20:56

if it serves a purpose then fuck it, would look daft on an unmodified 1.1

lol he's removed both of them and had carbon wrap last time i looked. Saved 3 or 4 kg iirc. :y:

saxo_vtr_1994 5th December 2011 22:46

i think it would look better of it was a bit shorter but thats just my opinion

skids_vts 5th December 2011 22:54

Thats the ci-tuning spoiler aint it.My mate had it on his icelandic furio about 6 years ago and it suited it so well.

I was actually going to take the piss out of the front bumper lol!!
