Lowering the car by 35mm at front wud this mean shorter shocks

You can lower upto 40mm on your standard shocks without having to change them. Anymore then it will affect their preformance and you will need to have uprated shocks mate

I went from 25mm springs with standard shock in and then to 60mm springs with standard shocks in.

I did a trackday at cadwell on both setups and with the 60mm springs and standard shocks, they handled far better that 25mm springs and standard shocks

Standard shocks are pretty poor. It will cause them to fail quicker as there not designed for it. Save for some Bilstein B8 dampers all round if you drive even slightly quick its worth it!
