How to remove tiger seal
Basically how do i remove tiger seal glue from a body panel (bonnet).
getting resprayed so what every takes it off will take paint off aswell. cheers |
trim as much poss of it with a Stanley knife. try get it real thin. then use some heat source on it (heat gun best bet) get it nice and warm and keep rubbing it with a thick cloth. i find thats best way. gets some blisters on ya thumbs but works lol

i would us like a scrapper or a knife if your getting it sprayed the body shop should do that?

best to remove it before you take for respray you dont wanna add to labour charges :y:

go and get a caramel wheel will take it straight of and will smell nice while doing it, also wont damage any paintwork

any decent solvent cleaner that won't destroy paint or laquer should do the job

I had the same problem with mine, I had I all on my roof and door. Same as what pug1off said, toffee wheel ftw

a DA and a 180 grit sand disc. tiger seal isn't silicon based so it won't cause a reaction to the paint once sprayed.
