V5 engine change

Trying to fill out the v5 to confirm my engine swap as I now have a vtr engine in my furio, only problem is I don't know the engine number does this matter? Can I send it off without a engine number?

Alex

I personally wouldnt bother with it, the chances of a rozzer pulling a magnet out is very slim so nobody would be any wiser unless you tell the world.

Or car gets crashed, car is inspected, numbers don't match, engine swop found out, insurance void, points, fine, ban, shafted.....

Unware?? bought the car like it?? not your fault. Plus on a car of the year they wouldnt even bother to look they would just write it off unless its in a crash were people have been killed....... ;)

I'm going to declare it, I'm not one of the little kids that doesn't declare stuff and then puts everyone else's insurance up

But seriously do I need the to put the engine number on the v5

i think you do, but you may be able to get away with just the type and size of engine. Isnt it etched onto the block somewhere?
