problem with replacment key fob
hi bought a replacment key fob housing as my unlock rubber button has ripped out had for now have to use electic tape to keep it in place. So bought a cheap replacment one on ebay, just picked a random seller as their are hundereds of the same item. when it arrived the design is appauling as when all cliped back in the housing that holds the circuit board is further into the fob and a plastic trim runs around the inside deviding the two spring trigger switches from making contact, so using old fob again for time being but has anyone else had this issue? and if so do you recommend any firm that does good housing for these key fobs? the fob is the small one on its own not attatched to the main key.

There is a guy on ebay who will fix yours and replace all the parts for around £15.

I was looking for one a while ago, there are loads on ebay.
You'll find some people selling close-to-original versions, and some who sell exact replicas. It's very important to get the exact replica, cos as you've found, the ones which aren't basically don't work properly. Take a really close look at the pics the ebay sellers post, try to work out which are the replicas before you buy. I have a brand new one, which I didn't get round to fixing up before I wrote my Saxo off. You can have it free, if you like. It might be worth a try. PM me if you're interested. |
