Suggested solder irons?
 
Has anyone got any good solder irons they Wouk suggest? Need it for the general... Lights/ audio etc

I tend to just use a cheap 240v maplins ones with a fine tip for light work.

I have a snap on lighter gas powered on good for hard to get to places and also have a cheap maplin 240 yellow handle one.

I got mine from maplin's.

It wasn't their own brand and it's pretty bitchin' for general work.

not cheap by any standards, but awesome quality, and exceptional customer services. Sent mine back after i damaged it, returned within a week - brand new one - no charge.

I got a set off eBay that was a maplin one re packaged came was extra solder extra rips solder sucker and other parts and a length of wire too. Was £15 delivered not had a problem in over a year

I can vouch for these, perfect for fine jobs and for bigger cables like amp power wire...

I had a awesome old one, was sacrificed to do some plastic welding :(

Then I bought a cheap one off eBay.... blew up first time using it
Replacement also died first time using it

Now have the yellow handled one from Maplins... Been fine so far

Well just bought a kit of eBay. A napkins one for about £20. If it blows... It blows. I'll just buy a better one.

got mine from wickes £13 for an electric one and it's pretty good was quite amazed ow quickly it heated up.
