Sump Guard for Africa Rally
 

I am driving a 3rd Saxo 1.1 on a Rally, to Mauritania in Africa this time and again have no sump guard. I have driven two of these cars, one to Mongolia and another to East Africa last year and managed to get away with no sump damage but I think that has been down to alot of luck

I have a few weeks free before I leave for Africa so am going to spend some time on the car, widening arches for wider tyres and some brake/fuel pipe coverings but thought I might try to make a sump guard (im not paying £200 for one)

Anyone here ever made there own or have plans, drawings, ideas etc
