Should I paint my roll cage different to the car???

Hi guys its a simple one for you.
Me and beaniesport have just installed a full multi point custom cages weld in roll cage...

...and basically I'm gonna be doing a full respray of the car in black but can't decide on doing the cage black or painting it red to make it stand out and give the car a bit of colour. I just want your opinions on it, if any one has got pics put them up they don't have to be saxo's just be nice to see them.

Thanks guys :y:

Also just realised, what would I do about the joining welds to the car...

If I painted the cage a different colour

From experience people in the know paint cages black, Just for the fact that if you chip scrape or dent the cage with helmets straps ect.. its easy to touch in the damage with a pot of paint and a small paint brush.

But then again are you going to be giving the car any abuse. If not then go for red. Only thing is it will cost a hell of a lot more to paint it in red for the fact the fact of all the masking.

If you go for red you will have sharp joins where the red meets the black normally you just paint the tubes red and the plates/ mounts body colour.

Yes the cage will see abuse and you raise a very good point with that but I was thinking of using padding on the door top bar and places that will be knocked into a lot.
I'm not to worried on the cost as ill be doing most of the prep and masking off my self and then getting "the boy" to paint it.
As for the joints, that's exactly what I was thinking. Tubes coloured, base plates car colour

That's just the advice I give my customers mate lol.

If it was mine I would go full gloss black with a brilliant Ford radiant red cage.

There all thanks to chris, we had a few issues with the welder so I never got chance to have a go at welding. Iv never welded before and wanted them looking smart so left it to Chris to weld :fcuk:
