Need help on choosing a colour for the engine bay

I need some help, Im changing the colour of my engine bay but don't know to what, any help here guys, the car will be red, feel free to try photoshop aswell but this is what it stands at the minute

I'd keep it red. Anything else would look out of place with your fans and slam panel.

I suppose a good shade of gold could work?

Nates-VTR 29th March 2013 10:56

I've always thought red and cream/ivory would go good together, then again may be a good idea in the head and terrible when done.. Just a thought though!

What would be your througts on doing it white?

TBH I don't think it needs changed.

It looks NICE the way it is.

If it's not broke, don't fix it lol.

Forbes_VTR 29th March 2013 11:27

A light gray would complement the block. Depends how far you go with it though

Nates-VTR 29th March 2013 11:59

Tbh it's gorgeous right now, the only parts I'd do white personally is the cam covers and maybe fans.

Forbes_VTR 29th March 2013 12:08

Can I ask where you've relocated everything too ? And was it a ball ache ?

jage 29th March 2013 13:12

its carbed so that got rid of a lot of things, fuseboxes inside i imagine.
servo think he runs a different pedal box setup but maybe wrong!

I think it looks AMAZING as it is you need to bring a new colour to everything though if that makes sense or it won't look right. White or cream would work. But it'll look a lot like wassys. I would go either gloss black, stay red or gold but i can't imagine the gold maybe champagne?

TomiX 29th March 2013 15:26

As already said; it looks soo good just as it is but, I agree with Jage, in that, if you want a change, black would make the engine stand out more. Then change the black details like strut brace and covers to red or white and maybe red hoses.

Looks great would leave it the way it is

What have beanie and Moo done? Yes they've built the engine (very well ill add!) but fisher has put it into his car, smoothed his bay, relocated wires etc and colour coded the engine bay.

FisherVTS 30th March 2013 23:45

I would do it white but would mean wassy had done the same so don't want to copy, also adding gold wassy has already done, I need a bright colour if not i will keep it red and gloss black, I was thinking anthracite grey or a metalic looking dark grey but even still would look too dark :(

wassy78 31st March 2013 00:07

Thanks for keeping me I'm mind m8 but it's your car nothing about copying ... What about chrome with candy red on top ?

wassy78 31st March 2013 00:09

FisherVTS 31st March 2013 00:14

wassy78 31st March 2013 00:15
