mk1 eunos

End of august I had no car and got sick of being a bus wanker so i parted with 600 whole english pounds for this "car"

car is a loose term, bad bits were hole in rear window lack of engine mount bolts and near non-existant brakes very bad paint and a cracked dash

good bits, roll bar tax and MOT aftermarket manifold

looked ok after a quick detail minus the bonnet and boot as there fucked

just over a month of having it off to oulton park i went, with alan and sam

its fun but slow never the less

sam just behind me

first mod? cost £8

camo rollcage

second mod? free filter i had laying about and some camo tape for mounting

thats it for now, next thing is too see how bad it fails its MOT at the end of may

If you ever want rid of the roll bar, shout up ;)

the most valuable thing on the car wrapped in the second most valuable thing;)

if it fails very badly i might split it but rust wise it seems ok

Rich84 20th July 2013 22:26

then the bodywork

bootlid ready for paint

so far the only rust

hopefully paint next weekend, havent decided what colour yet

Sam 21st July 2013 20:01

That rollbar is awesome :)

GTuff 21st July 2013 23:17

have you taken the carpet up yet?

Rich84 22nd July 2013 08:06

Nope not been under there yet but I assume you expect me to find some more rust?

holdawayt 22nd July 2013 09:00

Looking good man. Excited to see the colour.

Any problems give me a shout, I've experienced most of them lol

its a place where i found rust as the drainage hole goes through there

still a bargin thought!

Rich84 22nd July 2013 19:21

Il look at that when the outsides done, sills are still solid thank god, just need a hardtop before I paint it next weekend

Rich84 23rd July 2013 20:29

first go at using filler today

front badge gone

and rear panel de-badged and de-locked

not too bad for a 1st go i think

Rich84 27th July 2013 20:29

got the majority of the car painted this weekend everything apart from the bonnet as that needs to go back to bare metal, some bits need more prep as up close the finnish isnt good

so far its had front and rear debadged, rear bumper cut and red grill and door handles(although not sure on the shade of red, its not dark enough)

all for a grand total of £34.99

Xplodee 27th July 2013 21:44

Looking good Dude.

holdawayt 27th July 2013 23:09

Owh man I didn't know you were doing it matte black :/

Rich84 27th July 2013 23:43

technically satin black but it may not stay like that, i think its missing something myself

at least this way i have a base i can change when ever the mood takes me, i just need it to be on the road for the 1st of august

Prickle 28th July 2013 09:22

Not a fan of matte black. Looks patchy too.

Alanapone 3rd August 2013 21:50

Does look a bit patchy but I guess that's just the way this colour is. Give it a coat of matte lacquer, that might level it out.

Jay_ 3rd August 2013 22:42

Not a fan of matte black motors unless they are factory finish! :n:
