So I swapped my Starlet for this on Monday, nice wee birthday present for myself.

Here's the spec it came from the factory with.

Currently it's got all of that, with the addition of a decat, and a newmans cam.





I've already changed the front plate.



Plans are:

BC Racing Coilovers
17% reduced pulley
Milltek exhaust
Janspeed Mani
Better Intercooler (Probably Forge)
440cc injectors
16x8 wheels off some sort, with decent tyres.
r56 brakes
Personal or OMP steering wheel
Aero Skirts
Hopefully some JCW Carbon wing mirrors and scoop.
Roof painted Gloss Black.
Colour coding all the chrome
Fit my JVC headunit.
Possibly some Recaro's

Anyway I love it already and it'll take time to get it my way.

Thoughts?

A newmans cam? Not 16v? Know nothin about these engines

1.6 Supercharged man, 16V SOHC engine.

What year did they start turboing these? I thought it was 2003 (I'm obviously wrong lol)

Janspeed mani and sports cat is the way to go, absolutely love the noise and everyone comments on how nice it sounds! Repair bills aren't cheap though.. keep a few hundred aside for any shock repair bills... my mini is the most unreliable car I've owned haha.

Coilovers on order and possibly some Rotiforms...

1st thing I'd do, take all the chrome off, have it powder coated black. Ruins these cars, specially this colour, having the chrome on it! Apart from that, looks a nice motor.

EDIT: Put the long plate back on, it looks stupid with the square plate!!

I'll be satin blacking all the chrome soon, some cunt took my wing mirror out the other day.
