Away lads what's happened?

I picked it up this morning from tescos but wont get to play it till tonight!

totally non fussed on COD. Same game every year with a different setting.

i hope every year theyll do something with it to get me interested. but going by the videos this year it looms like you can use a fuckload of c4 to blow a hole in a shop sign.

And you can still run straight at people shooting at you and knife them before they kill you.

Theres also a mode where everything is speeded up to a run and gun frenzy. Aye, COD needed that :s

Can't believe I'm saying this as I used to be a huge fan of COD, and I used to hate Battlefied. But Battlefield 4 is so much better.

i still hate battlefield. but cod is barely anything to me now. cod4, i was glued to 24/7

Shite. Cod4/waw and mw2 were my faves back then.

Shame. Battlefield has followed suit too. Shite.

i remember when i was still in secondary school, i would actually look forward to coming home to play cod4 and it was garenteed at least 15 of my real life friend would be on when i got home. Now however,i don't even go on my xbox, and when i do, i don't see anyone playing cod now.

Is it the age thats done that... or has cod lost its feeling?

Back in the day my faves were modern warefare and cod4 and wow but by all accounts new ones not bad they have been making it for 4 years like.

I used to be a big racing game fan until I bought my Xbox and my mate introduced me to Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare. As per I was utterly crap but with a lot of practice I got good at the game and fell in love with the franchise. Mw2/Mw3/Waw and Black Ops were the best but it just seems now that they're flogging a dead horse.

I like dropping back onto the older Cod's for the online multiplayer but Waw is ridiculous with the amount of glitches, flying soldiers and invincibility mods that gamers use. It just seems like they release a newer title and forget to maintain the updates for the older titles which many still prefer to play. The programmers aren't fussed about the fans of the franchise, they're just interested in milking as much money out of what was a great genre of gaming before the bubble bursts so to speak.

Imho I think they've run out of idea's the past few years on how to produce new interesting relevant stories for the games as I believe the appeal of Cod was always the true to life combat events that have taken place I.e. Black Ops with the Cold War era and the Vietnamese war, Waw harking back to World War 2, Modern Warfare 2 & 3 using hints of the Somalian conflict, Iraq and Afghanistan into it. Black Ops 2's direction of futuristic weaponry and storyline left the realms of realism and started to bring in an aspect of fantasy to the genre, which looks like what they've done with Advanced Warfare, the new release this year.

Cod: Ghost though for me has had the best storyline, remained realistic with its weaponry and period of time for when it's set and the online multiplayer has some of the best maps they've ever designed. I feel that Ghost had the most time and effort put into development over all the other titles in the Cod franchise.

Havent really liked COD since COD 2 on the PC, did have WOW/MW2/Black ops as everyone had them.

Have the PS4 now and some of my mates play it, I haven't bothered to buy it as Im not that much of a fan.

Had BF4 for a while and liked that, but then got bored and sold it.

Only game I really play now is Destiny. Such a game.

Destiny is basically the most linear game i've played, do this to get ascendent shards, rinse repeat, the shortest story mode ever, good story but wish there was more

I just like the fact I can switch it up between doing raids/PVP/questing

New updates due out on the 12th of dec I think so more story mode stuff I believe and a new raid, as well as all the new weapons/armour!
