Rob's black Saxo VTS

Hey guys

I'm driving since 2003 a Saxo with (only) 75hp. This year in spring I decided to buy a VTS 16V as a new project. After a really intensive search (in Germany you need a lot of time to find a good one :S) and a lot of cars in terrible conditions we find a Saxo 16V near Hamburg.

It's a black 16V from 2001 (model 2002) with ABS, 80.000 miles, less rust and a lot of repairs were done by the previous owner. Additionally the car has already a coilover (KW Variant 2 inox-line). :y:

My planned improvements till April (new season):

- removing the rust, which is unfortunately existing
- conservation
- fresh oil
- lower the back axle
- stainless steel excaust
- OZ Ultraleggera 7x16"
- calipers from Pug 206 (266x22) with Brembo Max disc
- painting the calipers at front and back
- speedo with white illumination

I'll hope that are enough information for the first time and I can can show you tomorrow some pictures. Furthermore, I'm happy about your comments regarding my work. :)

Welcome to saxperience! Plans sounds good :) It's always nice to see saxos from outside of the UK.

Hey rob, welcome to the club

that's Rob's car right now:

the motor is in good condition!

His Ultraleggeras will be painted in white and there are still a few white accents, let yourself be surprised!
Uhm, the ugly tail lights are were changed!

Thanks Sammy for the pictures! :)

Yes, of cause, the car should get some white applications and better taillights. Hope all together looks fine at the end.

Thank you very much CorsaDestroyer!!! It's really awesome what a big community you have in the UK. I'll hope that I get from you some more inspirations and a sometimes a little help for my project. :)

Here are some more pictures from the pickup at Hamburg:

Steering wheel on the wrong side: :P

The engine:

Some parts has still arrived. Almost new calipers from Peugeot 206, the matching discs from Brembo (266x22) and a standard grill:

The OZ, all calipers (front and back) and the stabilizer will be powder coated these days. :y: The grill will be painted as well. Probably next year.

Greetings
Robert

Hey rob, the Brembos are arrived? Was a fast dispatch! Hmmm, just imagine how cool the grill looks if it smoothed and it's way cheaper to paint :P

the old rims were really heavy, weight arround 20kg each!! good choice with the Ultraleggeras

Thanks! :)
Indeed, the taillights getting changed. Stock or black ones. Still don't know at this moment.

Durring the christmas holiday nothing really happens to the car. I lay down with a cold. :( I just bought the original "Citroen Sport" fuel tank cap.
Hope next week to get it on.

Furthermore I plan to install the air bagged half-leather interior from a 106 GTI. I haven't one, so if somebody got one and like to sell it, than I'm your man! :bump:
