Handbrake Warning Light Flashes On and Off

When my car drives a bit bumpy or rough my handbrake warning light flashes on and off, its been happening since a couple of days ago, I was a bit harsh on the foot brake and it seems to me a wire came loose and shakes about over bumps but I'm no mechanic/electrician lol. Anyone know whats the cause of this and know a solution? Thanks.

Check the brake fluid level!

Check the switch underneath the handbrake too. Handbrake tends to pull over to the drivers side on older cars and shove the switch to the opposite side. ;);)

This is what's happened to mines. Any way to fix it? Bash with a hammer?
