Bretts dirty derv

A few pictures of the new ride. Excuse the quality of the pics of the car as (a) couldn't be arsed to grab my camera out of boxes as im moving and (b) couldn't be arsed to wash the car.

Needs one or two little things done to it to tidy it up but other than that its a lovely car.

A monumental step up from the Kalos.

P.s. anyone want to buy a Kalos?

Andy_K 12th April 2014 18:23

Nice.
Just mind those wheels on potholes as they are about as strong as cheese!

Looks clean though.

Sam 12th April 2014 18:57

Looks good :) wrong section btw ;)

Brettles1986 12th April 2014 19:30

Cheers Andy, it is lovely and clean, needs a new rear bumper ideally as a loop that supports it on the one side has snapped but will sort that at some point after I have moved.

I'm thinking of spraying the wheels anthracite and repainting the calipers. Not sure there is anything else I would want to do to it.

Lol I'm in tapatalk so can't navigate properly. If a mod wants to move it then they are more than free to do so.

Seats look a little stained! Did you say your mrs kept stalling it? Diesels seem almost 'unstallable' compared to petrols, those that I've driven anyway.

Upgrade from a kalos, but then again what isn't? :)

Prickle 12th April 2014 22:18

Best not ask Bret what them stains are ;)

I'd repaint the calipers Silver

Car needs a good clean tbh when I get 5 mins both inside and out. They aren't stained it must just be the picture.

Not unstallable when you are 6ft1 and your Mrs doesn't move the driving position when she's only about 5ft4

Is this a common Ford thing? The wife has a StreetKa, and bar MuZiZZle's miniscule pork chipolata pen0rz, the wheels are the softest things I've ever seen. Matched with Northumbrian roads, I replaced 6, then fitted a set of TD Pro Race 1.2 in an inch smaller fitment with chunkier tyres.

Touch wood...

Andy_K 15th April 2014 20:56

Think it must be.
I drive like a fanny round Sheffield as the roads are Shite. Never damaged a wheel in my life but dented 3 in 13 months on my st.

Brettles1986 16th April 2014 09:04

Ah nice. Where I live at the moment it's terrible. Lucky for me I am moving to a much better area tomorrow and the road surfaces are great.

Also I have a garage and drive at this new house so I can actually do some work on the car.

Pulley is being changed first.
EGR cleaned.
Wheels sprayed anthracite next.
Calipers repainted (not sure on colour).
Replace armrest as pin has snapped.

Then I am going to look at decat, intercooler upgrade, EGR blanking and then a Bluefin.

Cheers, tomorrow won't be fun, as I am doing all the moving with the Mrs and she is built like a pipe cleaner (there's an innuendo there waiting to happen).
