Xbox one update issue
Hopefully someone will be able to help me...
My younger brother had an Xbox one for Christmas, set it up all was good, but when xbl had the issues the other day, he thought it was his Xbox so he restored it, he entered all information again and it had to download update, but it fails to download. It's connected to Internet and has tried to manually update it as advised by Xbox website, but it's still not working, ideally we don't want to take it back because it would be away for a while and just isn't ideal. Can anyone help? Or know of a way around this? We can access settings or dash as it's not got that far yet. Thanks, Josh |

I would have thought its new enough to take back to the shop as faulty. Not ideal but you will get a new replacement..
Or call Microsoft support... |
Go to the downloads section, and see if you can resume the download.. As they did once have an issue where an early update got to 99% and then stopped, and you had to go and resume it..
If not, as Kam says, take it back to the shop if you bought it new, say it won't start properly, and they'll give you a brand spanker.. I've taken about 6 controllers back to Argos |
They took it back and a brand new console had same problem so I drove 90 miles there to have a look, bought it home and it worked so I've put it down to her 1.5mb download speed lol.
Pain but it's updated so he can use it now. Cheers guys. |
