Joe's Posi VTS #2

So the Fiesta got sold, turned into a complete and utter ballache. Needed a car for work, and just so happened to come across the below with the help of Josh Pew-Pew (josh11490).

Came up 45 mins from my house for £450 with some mods already done to it.

Protech 4-2-1
Decat
Scorpion 3"
JP4 Cam covers
50mm front springs, rear to match
GTi half leathers
Simota Induction
Drilled+Grooved disks
OMP Strut Brace

Pics are inbetween cleaning :homme:

The doorcards are fucking disgusting, I know.
If anyone can remember my old VTS, that failed the mot on 19 different things... This is miles better, considering it cost half the amount.

Boot has been welded
ECU/Battery underside have both been welded
Drivers sill has been welded
I've just serviced the car, oil definitely needed doing
Recent drop links

Has a couple of niggles, obviously, hence the price.

PAS needs looking at
Aux belt could do with tightening as it's new and squeaky
OS driveshaft will need replacing soon, will just replace both to keep it even
Exhaust has an annoying rattle
Need an ECU tray cover, and Fusebox cover
Manifold bracket needs adjusting

I'll be on the lookout for some new parts in 2015, such as;
Supersprint 4-2-1
Saxsport 2"
Corsica Wheel+Boss
S wheels repainted white
Smoked rear jewels
Morette's
Cold air feed if the Morette's arrive

I plan to track the car at some point, but for now it's to get her running spot on. So the lower brace and B8's can wait. :homme:

I think if you didn't buy this i probably would've.
The interior is pretty mint so can sell that for a little if you fancy buckets and harnesses.

When I seen it at that ricer meet that you attended the other week I was pretty shocked at how clean/nice it was for £450.

Llandow next year bbz?

I may possibly have a very cheap set in the next few months, depending on wether or not I get new ones.

Looks good for £450. You wouldn't be far off that figure if you broke it I reckon. What miles it got on it?

No real updates atm as I keep burning through money.

Will be ordering the Driveshafts within the next few weeks money depending, until then the cars not being driven too much to save it from worsening.

Looks a bargain

SimpleJoee 14th February 2015 16:45

Sold as of 10 minutes ago.

Problems kept arising with this, all were fixable, but a lot of the jobs would need to be garaged, and that would've racked up the cost to repair. So I decided to part ways, and just save up for a few weeks to see what else is out there. Have my eye on a VTS going ridiculously cheap for the bits and bobs it has, but we'll find out in a couple of weeks where I'm at and what happens. I don't use the car for work as I car share, so that's not an issue at all.

Fair well posi #2! (At least she wasn't fucked like the last one :homme:)

😞😦😐😢😵😂

Just in case anyone wonders what needed doing:

Manifold had a blow
Exhaust had a blow and was rattling, also needed a new hanger
Gearbox mount was worn
Gear linkages sounded shot
Welds needed treating, and rust needed welding
Alternator may have needed replacing
Pass driveshaft needed changing
Handbrake cables needed replacing/tightening
Track rod ends might've needed replacing
Pass wheel bearing needed changing
Was overfuelling, so could be a few things

I just figured the money I could've spent fixing this up, could be used on top of the sale price to fund a better project/base for a project :y:
