handbrake issue

Right guys bit of a weird one here, if i pull my handbrake up the left rear wheel will lock, but the right rear wheel spins freely.

New set of cables fitted yet i still have the same problem...The piston is free and all greased up...when pedal is down, piston moves outwards.

handbrake has been adjusted so both cables are nice and tight

car is a 106 gti

Is the lever attached to the calliper being pulled by the cable?

now sorted - was down to the way i had routed the cable (due to a clip being broke) :drink:
