c2 problem HELP!!!!!!!!
this is driving me fucking insane! but basically I replaced my gearbox with a 1.1 c2 box just the other day after me crank oil seal decided to give up ruining my new clutch and thee input shaft bearings decided to explode too so replaced everything with new, bar the box which was 2nd hand...
anyway I cant quite recall if this started immediately after or a day or two after but I have some kind of serious serious vibration issues, all is well at low speed but if you listen/sit still you can hear/feel an ever so slight rotational noise like a litte thud ? but as you go faster and faster this "rotational thud" gets increasingly worse, to the point where you cant see anything in your mirrors, you cant see the speedo , a horrendous noise , all the windows shake like fuck and you literally bounce around in your seat, once you go above 80/85 it is just fucking ridiculous and it honestly feels like something is gonna go bang! I cant quite describe how bad this vibration is but really is bad but anyway I had it up on the ramp today and I checked all my wheels/tyres for buckles etc and the n/s/f was slightly buckled so I moved it over to the rear of the car, all wheels are balanced, checked all nuts and bolts and everything is tight! no play in wheels/bearings/ball joints etc everything is solid. now I think that really can only leave me with the gearbox or driveshafts... but I honestly just hope it aint down to the box because I seriously cannot be arsed to remove/fit a gearbox on it again! any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated :y: |
ah yes forgot to add, also this vibration stops soon as you let off the throttle, soon as you touch thhe throttle whether to maintain speed or to accelerate the vibration starts again

A mate had a similar issue, not as bad, it was because of a engine mount
You really shouldn't be driving the car with that problem its going to worsen other components |
