HID's Hi/Low beam issue
 

Hi,

I purchased some HID's (10k) everything was working fine pull the stalk back for hi beam no problem, until of course the bulb decided to blow after only having the a couple of months,

I bought 2 new bulbs again 10k and also another ballast as this had also gone, I put them on with no issues but now when I pull the stalk back for full beam the lights go off completely, even if I flash an oncoming vehicle they do nothing,

I wanna say that when I put them on normal dipped beam there actually full beam but I can't be sure as they were bright on either dipped or full, I have had to turn my lights down on the of chance it is full beam and blinding oncoming vehicles,

Could this be an issue with wiring? Or the ballast because one ballast is the original ballast, I used the information on my old ballast to get the new one the only difference is the make, could this also be the issue? Any help would be muchly be appreciated
