Bath, shower or both
Having a debate with the Mrs. We are fitting a new bathroom and are debating if we should have a bath with shower over it, cram in a separate bath and walk in shower or just a big walk in shower. The bathroom measure only 1750x3450mm so it's not exactly big. What would you pic if it was yours?

I have a walk in and seperate bath, I don't really like baths unless have plenty time, Mrs on other hand hates showers. So win win for us. Personally I couldn't go back to a shower over the bath
|
I have a bath with a shower in the bath with a pull out shower screen thingy
|
I still live with the parentals and they've just had the bathroom redone with a bath and screen so you can have either. I rarely bath unless I've put my back out or something... I'm a shower person all day long! :y:

Personally think a shower over a bath is better really if your bathroom isn't very big. I'd actually rather just a cubical however for the resale of my house I decided on putting in a bath too, I know lots of people moan about not having one

Sod the bath. In my other house me and the mrs lived there 3 years and I think she took a bath once, I never even used it. A nice big shower cubicle with twin headed powerful shower is far better!
The bathroom in the new house is smaller, when I get round to doing it the bath will be ripped out and a decent sized shower cubicle fitted instead. So far all the bath has been used for is washing paintbrushes and rinsing car parts! |
I would go with an awesome shower and bugger the bath. I find its usually the women that want/use the bath more often without sounding sexist lol

Just had a decent walk in shower put in, sod a bath.

<adult head> If your ever going to have kids, get a bath as well. </adult head>

If it’s going to make the room tiny and cramped then I’d be tempted to just leave it as a bath/shower. There will be costs with fitting a separate feed and drain for the cubicle (unless you’re planning on doing it yourself) and it depends how long you’re planning on living there, if you want to be moving within the next couple of years then you might as well live with showering in the bath until you get a bigger house.

Thanks for all the replies. I am defiantly a shower man but first kit was due 3 days ago ( is late so must take after his mum ) So think i will just sstick with the bath with a shower over it and get one of those fancy looking glass screens. It will save some cash to pay for the new kitchen I also promised her :s

I'm a bath man personally, much more relaxing although sometimes it's as if you're wallowing in your own filth.
