Overfuelling idling problem with my east coast

I have a 99 east coast 1.1 has k&n and 4branch manifold other than tht its standard 1.1 single point. Recently began drinking fuel and odd idling problem sometimes too high other times say first thing in morning it dies then on restarting smokes and smells strongly of fuel. This is not a constant problem but at times the thing is just stinking of fuel at the exhaust. There are no fuel leaks its been serviced regularly just beginning to p### me off now please one of you clever sods help lol

Clean/replace the o2 sensor in exhaust. Clean/replace ICV and give it a service and a set of plugs. Then work from there.
