tu5jp swap on tu3jp
 

hello

i want to make a swap

tu5jp ( 1.6 8v ) swap on tu3jp


i have some issues on the change like .. the tu3jp ( 1.4 8 v ) has a camshaft reader that tu5 does not have .. on the water flange

the camshaft look the same .. but does it run on tu3jp camshaft .. or i must adapt the reader from tu3 on tu5 camshaft

i had to buy some engine mountings also tu3 engine mount has water pump inside .. tu5 does not ..

i am planing to start the engine on tu3 cpu dunno yet what to expect ..

the goal is to get rid of the tu3 engine which i do not like for its internal shirts .. and to get tu5 ... maybe some extra power

the clutch will be tu5 which is bigger and i will keep the tu3 gearbox which should be a shorter one on this case .

did any one do this swap before
