Vts electrical fault

Hi all

My mk2 vts has recently died due to an electrial fault.

With the key out of the ignition the battery, oil and handbrake light stay on and the clock tick. When the key is turned these lights remain, the starter motor turns but no fire.

I had removed the eninge loom etc. Inspected and put back together loosely, and the problem was gone. However after buttoning up/ positioning the wiring the problem came back.

I have a spare engine loomthat i fitted but still no joy. And ive yet to find a vts interior loom for sale.

Any ideas what the issue could be?

Thank
D
