Hi Simo

Just read your post on the Fasthosts Forum regarding the timeouts with your AccessDB. I had excatly the same thing when I first created a site with Fasthosts with an AccessDB backend. When I did speak to Fasthosts they said that I shouldn't be using Access because they don't fully support it!! Go figure!!
Anyways, I eventually convert my AccessDB to a MySQL one using a Access2MySQL Converter. Then all I had to do is change the connection string in my ASP pages and volia! All is now A1 perfect and much faster!! If you want a copy of the prog, let me know and I'll email it to you.

Regards

Bish

Thanks for the comment Bish,

I decided a long time ago that Access had to go and last night I finally made the decision to move away from it! MySQL seems to be the best alternative, which also leaves the option of moving to PHP in the future..

Regarding yesterday's poor server performance, fasthosts have admitted a server problem and say the issue is resolved. Fingers crossed.

Scott, regarding your broadband/script times... the time noted is the time it takes the server to process the code on the page, before sending it to your browser... so having broadband shouldn't really affect the script time... it was just the server was being
