What is the max size of alloys that you can fit on a SAxo without Rolling or cutting the wheel arches?? with no lowering involved??

Enbwo 20th February 2004 17:59

Depends, if u have a base model then even 15's will rub at the back with more than 3 ppl in the car. But if u have a furio, VTR and so on then you can fit 16's i think comfortably.

Ripper3 20th February 2004 18:07

Well, there has been a Saxo w/20s, so i think that u can probably fit nethin upto that

Ripper3 20th February 2004 18:10

But w/20s,ull have 2 do alot of mods, but w/the base models, 2 fit on 15s, then ull need 2 roll the arches, even if u wanna or not

Scott 20th February 2004 21:07

on a base model you can get the VTR alloys on with no problems but with anythign larger you will need to bend/cut the lip in the rear arch

on VT kitted models you can get 16's with 195/40 profile tyres on with no rubbing

zander 20th February 2004 21:46

Probably do that not got a car yet but will probably eventually go for a VT model whent the insurance is reasonable and go for 16's.. Was considering getting a base model Saxo as I can get one cheap but I think I might just wait until I can afford "the real mccoy" So that it looks stunnin as I think the VT model generally looks better..

Thats weird cause i have a vtr with the standard alloys on and when i had three people in the back the rear left arch was gettin scrapped like f*ck. you recon this could be buggered suspension or summit cause its just had the rear axle changed after a collision with a curb.

Scott 23rd February 2004 20:57

sounds odd mate even with the car full it should not rub, where exaclty is it rubbing??

jamesg88 23rd February 2004 21:34

yeah it shoudn't rub.not wiv standared alloys on

orton 29th February 2004 01:04

dont know where it rubs but it sounds horrible. It doesnt really sound like the tyre it sound more like metal on metal.

C2_VTR 3rd March 2004 06:50

Make sure you don't drive down the road with your head sticking out! Trying to find where the noise is coming from... Make sure you get a friend to do it for you

zander 5th March 2004 03:15

What a stupid boy I am lol had a good laugh at myself after that.lol One more question.. What size is the standard wheels on a Saxo to start with??

barrett 5th March 2004 03:41

13" on ur base model ie forte
14" on all the rest (furio and desire included)

Scott 5th March 2004 04:17

15's on mk2 vts's

C2_VTR 5th March 2004 05:44

zander 5th March 2004 13:16
