Radiator will it fit?

will a 106 GTI radiator fit a saxo (furio)?

Sean 25th December 2006 20:49

i would imagine so

Mark51 25th December 2006 20:51

i need a definate answer, cheers though

sean - already rep'd you in the past

Sean 25th December 2006 21:00

sax/vts being the same as 106/gti i would say yes then, only worth the risk buying it if you're getting it cheap.
Rep- i'll live ;)

my mate crashed his 106 gti and got it for that but now his car is the size of a golf ball he no longer needs it.
i was asking as baz_saxo off here was wanting a new radiator and was going to offer it to him but i need to know if it fits first so im not messing him around

rozhkov 25th December 2006 21:29

simple answer is no,because its got sensors and is slight diff in size

Sean 25th December 2006 22:28

rad has no sensors in it, the sensors are part of the wiring loom and can be unplugged and carried from rad to rad. the difference in size doesn't matter, that's like saying you couldn't run a vtr rad on a vts or vice versa, both of which can be done. The debate is whether it will physically mount onto the saxo mounting points and whether the hoses will fit. I can tell you 100% definitely that fitting a 106/vts rad to a furio will need the mk2 hoses but as i've said i don't know if the 106 and saxo mounting points are the same :)

rozhkov 25th December 2006 22:34

:ouch: my bad,i thought the sensor was a problem-neva mind, but i ment exactly what you said but with less detail about the hose's

come on all
