Dull Paint

Got the rear badges on the boot smoothed off and the paint looks really dull compaired to the rest of the car, what should i use to make it since like the rest of the car?

saxooxas 22nd January 2007 14:36

just out of question can you just take them off or would it potentially peel paint off if you did that, like does it have to be done specially? and ccould you not polish it or something to make the paint less dull - just a guess.?

Baz 22nd January 2007 14:37

the badges just come off and leave sticky shit on but also leaves holes that need to be filled

saxooxas 22nd January 2007 14:40

o right ok cheers.

hesslevtr 22nd January 2007 17:14

get some good polish on there

kcsaxo 22nd January 2007 21:59

dull as in almost cloudy like appearance? most likely the bodyshop didnt buff it up properly and needs some more going with some final stage compound / polish to bring the shine up.

LittleDude101 22nd January 2007 22:30

a good polish may bring it up better... was it done in a body shop?

Baz 22nd January 2007 23:52

kk i supose i better buy some then :P which polish you guys recommend then? posi blue

hesslevtr 23rd January 2007 12:43

menenza is good that might bring it up

grantsmith1985 23rd January 2007 12:45

If a body shop smoothed out the holes its because they havent polished it enough (like above) take it back, 2 mins with a polisher will bring it back up, easy jobb

Baz 23rd January 2007 12:45

supose i'll get some bought when i got some spare cash then and give it a whirl!

sy_VTR 23rd January 2007 12:57

paint restorer from t-cut believe it or not that did the job on my mk1 clio, that i spent days polishing it then i scrapped pointless really but for a t-cut brand i recommend it!

sy_VTR 23rd January 2007 13:00
