Now then all, Just had a full stainless steel peco exhaust system fitted, 3 sections, twin exit backbox,both sides of car, centre section and end piece to downpipe, only problem is its been fitted properly n looks great but makes no difference in sound n i heard the peco exhausts were quite loud n bubbly!! whats gone wrong, apparantly a mechanic mate of mine suggests it could be my cat cos its a 2001 vtr n apparantly it mite be proper jammed full of baffles but i dunno about that sort of stuff. HELP!!!!!!

the cat will be restricting the noise a little, let the exhaust "coke" up a little first though as it will get louder as it fills up with the crap from the exhaust

i've noticed dat on mine! wen i turn my engine on, i get a nice purr from my exhaust but then wen i put my foot down, it dont sound ne louder , but wen i ave drive nfor a bit it sounds louder! b4 i forget, i just got a big bore 4 back box on my mk1 1.1i, sounds pretty gud from inside, never heard it from outside thou!
but wot scott says is true, just drive it hard wit high revs for a bit and it shud pic up noise!
