Quick Question...?

My alarm installation book says to connect to the "On" is that the ignition or is that the battery on the barrel? Also what is the Acc?

woodsy 17th February 2007 13:50

acc is ignition live i believe ... you know when the ignition is turned on

to help you out i think you need to be a bit more specific really

Predator_R32 17th February 2007 13:52

switched live is usually a red wire, but yeah you need to be a bit more specific, not sure what you mean

mattchewone 17th February 2007 13:53

well the book says to connect to the on wire on the ignition barrel and im not sure whether that is the first click when you turn the key or the second click.

woodsy 17th February 2007 13:53

if your talking bout the ignition it wiill be the first 'click'

what you actualy connecting to the ignition and what colour

Predator_R32 17th February 2007 13:54

a think there both awitched lives on the both clicks

EDIT by that it looks like the ACC has to connect to the first click

also whats the blue crosses for??

mattchewone 17th February 2007 13:57

connecting my alarm, but it just says connect to "on" as you can see on the diagram. The ones crossed out are the ones im not using because i am not setting up the remote start

woodsy 17th February 2007 13:57

lost me now thats where the phone book comes out lol ...

Predator_R32 17th February 2007 13:59

are the blue corosses the wires you have to connect??

mattchewone 17th February 2007 13:59

so if the acc is the first click the "on" part on the ignition is the second click?

mattchewone 17th February 2007 14:00

blue wires i am not connecting sorry

Predator_R32 17th February 2007 14:04

yep
acc = first click (just the battery light comes on)
on = second click (battery light and other lights come on)
start the engine - 3rd click obviously

mattchewone 17th February 2007 17:24

done it now cheers for all your help works fine now

reevesy_vtr 17th February 2007 17:45

yes the acc is the first click that drops away when the starter is turning.
The ON wire stays live when the starter is turning.
Where did you pick up the rpm wire from.
