My mid silencer is vibrating like a good one. Does this mean that i need a new one. My question is can i get this cut out and have a piece of pipe welded in.

It could be that it's just hitting the heatshield, I'd check that first. And yes, you can get the silenser removed and a straight pipe welded in, or you could just buy a straight pipe.

Yep I had that done about a fortnite ago, pulls better IMO too :y:

Custom exhaust shop I use charged £50 to remove the centre pipe, cut box out and replace with a brand new bit of S/S :clapping:

Do you really need the Heat Shield? - Any idea what its protecting? is it the gear linkage or am I well off the mark :-S

if i were yo uid keep it in place near the petrol tank but after that it can be removed i got rid of my rear section of heat shield last weekend.

( obcessed with any kinda wieght)

going to remove the centre section this weekend
just guna leave it near the fuel tank.

I thought there was a heat sheild near the front of end of the exhaust around the area of the cat and gear linkage
