How gutted would you be

Just found out last night that the modified pug 106 gti that was posted in the weblinks section which was on ebay buy it now for £5k it actually sold for that which i was really shocked about but............... the night before the person was coming to pick the car up he wrote it off :n: he cant claim anything off the insurance either as he is only 3rd party

oooooooo nasty

craig180 21st March 2007 09:08

I'm surprised any insurance company would insure a car valued at £5k tpft

Anyway that is pretty bad luck:n:

xclairex 21st March 2007 09:15

Im not sure how much the car was insured for, im going to try and get some pictures tonight

DDC 21st March 2007 09:16

Its a shame because insurance is so expensive for young drivers because of the idiots about. I am sure he would have been fully comp if he could have afforded it, in saying that he could have cut his mods and paid for fully comp.

To be fair, the crash was obviously his fault if he's not getting paid out for it, so the reason for the sky high insurance premiums is down to people that can't handle their own cars and keep crashing them

High risk and all that!

Serves him right if he was racing. People like that should have driving priviledges taken from them.

lottaroo 21st March 2007 09:47

Cant believe that sold for 5K,

What a dumbass to tempt fate anyway by going out in it the night before he hands it over!

That's like driving the day your tax goes out of date, you will always get pulled!

Tupps 21st March 2007 09:51

Claire - your mission should you choose to accept it....

Get pics of the crash tonight and post them before 9.30 am tomorrow morning!

As if someone would pay £5k for it, its a mess.

DDC 21st March 2007 10:16

Yup serves him right for racing, should stick to Santa Pod or something if he wants to do that.

R4T 21st March 2007 10:21

i wouldnt have paid more than 2500 for that!

hesslevtr 21st March 2007 10:25

That's because it isn't worth £5k. It would be worth the same as any other 106 that spec and age. Mods don't add value to your car
