Removing Amber section from Mk5 Fiesta Headlamp

I know a few people on here have had Mk5 Fiesta's mainly Zetec-S's so Im hoping you can help.

My mate (Mark-L username on here) who has recently passed his test and was looking for a Furio or Quicksilver ended up gettin a Mk5 Fiesta Zetec 1.25 as the insurance was cheaper and he couldnt justify the extra money for the French hatchs. He's well happy with but anyway, onto the question . . .

How do you remove the Amber section from the Headlight?

We tried to look on ZSOC but doesnt look like you can view threads without joining and as he's only got a Zetec its not worth spending £7 just so ask a question.

Thanx guys :clapping:

Please anyone who wants to post anti Ford comments please keep them to yourself - Thank you

you dont have to pay £7 to sign up.

i'm pretty sure its like on here where you can sign up for free or pay for membership.

i signed up on there to ask a question and i certainly didnt pay anything

But if anyone Does know then please post a reply here, thanx :y:

Nope, had another look just now and the sections that I want to look in seem to be empty :err: good thing I never bought a Zetec-S :)

I had a look at these back in they day when thinking about buying a fez before getting my saxo..

I think it is exactly the same process as smoking mk2 saxo headlights.... heat gun them to seperate lenses... pull out manky orange thing.. and insert chrome indicator bulb... re-seal...

Unscrew the headlight, no need to remove the front bumper.

Heat up the glue around the headlight unit like how people have done so with
saxo ones on here.

Once the glue is loosened, remove the lense from the unit.

The amber bit basically pulls right out.

Seal the lense back to the unit and refit to the car simple!

Oh you might need to change the bulb as the standards ones are normally
clear.

Thanx guys I'll pass that you to my mate so he begin to de clutter the front of his Fiesta, been helping him out trying to find Zetec-S Grill as well.

His a Black fiesta so I was saying Black/Smoked rear lights would look rather nice - we also looked on www.essexracing.co and they have some nice looking headlights for the Mk5 too
